Well, In November 2004 I purchased the misspriced Dell 3000 which is a similar spec to what you have for £189.71
I sold the base at that time for £200.00 to someone who was well pleased to buy it at that price and I kept the 15" TFT
I'd say with monitor around the £200.00 mark if lucky...someone I know picked a 15" TFT in a boot sale a few weeks back for £20.00..working order!!!!Welcome, rogerramjet.

Thanks - don't know if you can help with following
1. Do you think I would be able to get something similar in a laptop.
2. If not, what do you think I could get in exchange
3. How much extra would I need to pay to get something?C'est la vie!0 -

It's against the site rules to offer anything to sell/exchange/swap on the forum boards. This is a quote from the rules regarding this.................
OFFERING ITEMS FOR SALE/TRADE/EXCHANGE/SWAP
Please do not sell/trade/exchange/swap items on the boards (that includes in PM’s). This includes posting links to your ebay auctions, or other forms of advertising. If someone appears to be selling items on the board it will be deleted with a note left by the board guides/forum team. This protects site users as we do not encourage strangers to exchange personal details via this site “including PM’s”.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

1. Yes
2. prolly get a quite old laptop as they command higher prices that a desktop system
3. Better off selling your system in a local free adds paper and getting a new Dell laptop for around the £350+ mark which they go for regularly..better than getting a low spec laptop as an exchange.Welcome, rogerramjet.
