Noone i know would ever have a scooby about drains judi, so nothing to do with being a hopeless female!
The court case is laid aside for now, so please try and focus on the here and now, you're got your lovely kids, lovely home and some lovely peace n quiet from exOH (or else you've got the lovely law on your side) so now's the time to start acting like you're getting into the Christmas spirit and before you know it you will be!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Bank-of-slate - the other case had a teenage witness and so took priority! They thought they could do the 2 cases in one day but the other one was more complex than first thought! On the up side he still has bail conditions so can't hassle me for now! and by friday the house should be in my name so will not need to have anything to do with him financially either! I think the drain problem is getting me down too cos I feel like such a pathetic female that can't sort it out and have to rely on expensive tradesmen who could con a fortune out of me as I know nothing about drains! (except that if they don't work it's a nightmare!) - Right need to get a grip and stop feeling sorry for myself! ITS CHRISTMAS!!!!!:santa2: :xmassmile :santa2: :xmassmile :santa2: :xmassign: :xmassign: :xmassign: :xmastree:
I am TRYING to get into the Christmas spirit!
To look for a decent Tradesman and get them to 'bid' for your job go to https://www.myhammer.co.uk

oh Linda thats a good site, not heard of it before. I have a OH but he is frankly useless at anything DIY or involves constructing something so I do almost everything in this house...might need this site at some point!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
Finally Debt Free...0 -
Thanks Linda - struggling to get onto the myhammer website - but will keep trying!
Maz you are right - I have a lot to be thankfull for - I have 4 lovely (well on a good day! lol) kids, a secure job and by friday my own house! This is my last day moping around the house feeling miserable! x0 -
A colleague of mine at work used it!
Tradesmen build up feedback like on Ebay so you can read what other customers thought of their work!

Feel free to drop by Linda!
I'm quite lucky-DH is brilliant at DIY and if he can't do it, he knows a man who can! (does every firefighter have another job???)
Sall-spa would have been better alone-DH was a PIA. *sigh*Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Mm, what's all this talk of squirrel food?!

Judi, I really feel for you, I hope you get it sorted soon so you can move on and be happy.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

afternoon all.
Was offline all day until 9pm yesterday with being at work then waiting for carpet to be fitted, then spent the evening putting literally everything back in the room.
but - apart from the curtains to go back up - it's finished!! :j
Much huffing and puffing from 6am yesterday morning by OH to get it all done but it's done!

note the demise of the TV from the 'before' and 'after' shots  OH still saying I should put it through as an insurance claim, without a 'I'll pay the excess as I broke it' which is riling me as i'll have to shell out myself, but I've said if I can pick up one from Ebay for the same or less than the excess, then that is what I am going to do. I am not buying an LCD and I wouldn't get anything near enough on an insurance claim for one as my TV cost £120 from Macro 4 years ago! I can't afford one and I don't see why I should start shelling out £400+ for an LCD just because it's the in thing.
(yes, it's a new carpet, just a very similar colour to the old one! :rotfl: )
