Having shopped around, I couldn't find a (genuine) remote for less than, or the same as, the cost of Wii Play.
Thanks all for the set up help. I think I'll need a scart adaptor though as I've just checked the back of the TV and there isn't a free scart socket.0 -
At Game they currently (well yesterday) have the Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party for just under £20.
A bargain as it is nearer £35 to £40 is some places0 -

Have you got composite inputs (smaller round sockets: yellow for picture with red & white for sound)? If so you can be up and running with what's in the box.
Alternatively, if you've got component inputs (same size sockets as above but red, green & blue for picture and white & red for sound) you could use them if you pick up an additional lead. Pretty cheap from here but they'll take a while to deliver. The picture will be better than scart.0 -

I've got red & white ones - can't see yellow.
I have also got the component ones.0 -
Thanks everyone :T
Following your advice I've reserved a nunchuck and remote at Argos - off to pick them up in a moment. More money
Decided to go with Argos as the price seemed on a par with those you can get online and didn't want to take the chance it wouldn't arrive in time for Xmas.
Secret confession time...............:p Also orderd Mario Kart as it comes with a free wheel, actually haven't got a clue what this is, but hey, you all seem to know what you're talking about. More money.
Thank You.0 -
I actually got some helpful advice in Game when I got ours, the lad in there advised getting Wii Play for the remote.
Looking forward to Xmas morning our boys have Mario Kart and an extra wheel so there's no fightsIt's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0
