Cordless Phone & Wireless Internet

Folks

I've heard somewhere that having a wireless internet connection causes interference with cordless phones. Have i got this wrong or is there substance to this?

    Routers use 2400MHz and DECT phones use 1880-1900MHz so, on the face of it, direct interference is unlikely.

    However, as with all things radio, proximity and cheap construction methods resulting in poor interference rejection capabilities mean anything is possible.
    Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    I have both wireless internet and cordless phones and have never had a problem... but I suppose its possible given the variables

  • Has happened o me but it was an annalogue phone not digital

    I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p
