Zone Alarm Version 8

A couple of weeks ago I got the message from zone alarm that a new version is now available. However, before updating I now always check to see if anybody is reporting any problems with new versions. Good job because there were several reports. I have just copied this from the Zone Alarm Forum:

Hello,
ZoneAlarm is still investigating and collecting data on the Slow shutdown, slow coming out of Standby and slow logging off user issue.
The automatic update for 8.0 was turned off on Monday.
We recommend that users uninstall 8.0 and reinstall 7.
When a improved version is ready the automatic update notification will let you know in the client.

If you have not updated to version 8 yet it may be best to wait for the improved version.

Used to like it many moons ago but it got bigger and bigger and the machine got slower and slower. If it's just the firewall and your not worried about adjusting to something new ,Comodo is about the best there is free.
To be fair to ZA though where firewalls and AV is concerned you will have a stack of search engine whines and moans with just about anything available. It's just the nature of PC's and us!!!0 -
Some people have had better experiance with the latest ZA Internet Security Suit v8.0.298.000
