Abbey defending the claim

I've got to the stage where I'm taking Abbey to small claims court.

I've filed the claim with the court and Abbey have just filed that they are defending the claim. I really didn't expect for Abbey to defend and I am not sure what I now need to do?

Do I now just wait the full 28 days until the court does something or am I now meant to do something knowing that they are defending?

Please help!!

The likelyhood maybe that they will look to get a stay on the claim pending the OFT test case. Is this a credit card or bank charges case?
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

It's claiming bank charges. Is there anyway I can just go ahead?

When is this OFT test case meant to finish? I was under the impression that the banks were just paying out and it wasn't much hassle to make a claim.

Once Abbey file their defence, the court will almost certainly stay the claim. Unless you can demonstrate severe financial hardship, it's a waiting game.

Oh right. Does this probably mean I'm not going to get a payout anytime soon?

Do I need to do anything on the moneyclaim site, or do I just wait for the courts decision?

You are going to need more patience waiting for the court case to go through than you have shown in waiting for a reply here :rotfl: (only teasing)
