Which Samsung home theatre kit?

I've been looking to buy a Samsung Home Theatre kit (to match Samsung LCD tv) and would like opinions on which is the best model to buy please
Shortlist so far includes:
Samsung HT-X710T- 2.1 ch - 400 Watt Bluetooth - Home Cinema System £242.00
This was my initial choice but I now wonder whether it would give a satisfactory "surround sound" experience with only two front speakers. It would certainly solve the issue of trailing rear speaker wires (wooden floors) but I don't want to compromise on sound quality as this would also be used to play music as well as watch tv/dvd.
The following are other models I've considered and would appreciate opinions, good or bad
Samsung HT-TZ215R 800 Watt 5.1 Channel Home Cinema System With Tallboy Speakers £219.99
Samsung HT-TZ315R - 5.1 ch - 1000 Watt Bluetooth Home Cinema System £239.99
Samsung HT-X715T - 5.1 Ch - 800 Watt Bluetooth Home Cinema System £319.99
Cheers!

You mention both 'surround sound' AND 'music'
The problem is your trying to buy a cheapie set which is problematic to play music on
If you favour surround effects then buy the 320 quid one
if you favour music and sound 'quality' then id suggest this 2.1 ~

The yamaha surround sound systems are great

I got the av61for 2 years now, small speakers dont have carry a meaty sound
I know you didnt want wires but I didnt find it a problem just boxed it in along skirting boards, hardly know its there0 -
I'd definitely go with Yamaha over Samsung.
Alternatively, £300 or so should get you a pretty reasonable separates system that would almost certainly give you more options on the music side of things.0 -
while samsung tvs are good i wouldnt get one of their home cinema systems. we currently have one of theirs. i think it is the ht-x30. the sound is excellent but the dvd player itself has started to get temperamental, it is only 18 months old. it often takes 3 or 4 goes to get it to read a disc but most of the time it does read the disc straight away. it can be quite noisy at times as well.0

why get 2.1 when there is 5.1 available? one thing to look for as well is does it do dts sound as well as 5.1. dts is much better but some dvd discs only have 5.1.0

Because a £200 2.1 system will generally be better quality than a £200 5.1 system, super-duper surround effects notwithstanding.
I'd go for a separate A/V reciever/amplifier. That way you can build your system over time as funds allow and it'll be better quality than an all-in-one system.0 -

Ditto what Marty said. a 5.1 will be c*ap for music and generally the sound 'quality' will not be as good (especially such a cheap one).
Just because it has effects whizzing all over the place doesnt mean the qualitys as good (In fact, far from it)
For the record, I wouldnt go for a Samsung either (Buts its what the Op requested)
Personally id go for a seperates system:idea:0 -
i must be missing something. surely to get the full number of seperate channels of sound within a 5.1 source you need the appropriate number of speakers. 2.1 speakers might give good sound but our old hifi used to give good surround sound if the source had it but it still isnt the same as being surrounded with the sound by having 6 speakers around your living room with each speaker getting a different part of the sound through it.0

well music sounds great on ours. it can be set to either have the music through all of the speakers or just three of them. its just the reading discs issue that makes me think i wont get a samsung again.0 -

What you say is correct. you NEED a 5.1 to get 5.1 effects. We're talking about sound 'quality'. The ability to reproduce sound as accurately as possible (Just like the whole idea of a tv is to reproduce a picture as acurately as possible):idea:0
