That's what I love about this forum. You can ask for help all you want, but you're sure to get just the opposite from those with nothing better to do than sit about judging and thinking the worst of people.
What do you mean "sit about?".Where were you when you made the last post?0

 Canoeing.
Anyway, what do you mean "when"?
You can't just quote a tiny part of a post out of context and criticise it, that's just !!!!!!.
I said "sit about judging" - it's the judging I have issue with, not the sitting about...:rolleyes:0

            Hi niksindamix
Interesting post, I do feel there could be another reason for her promotion. You say his company have 'suspicious HR methods unequal pay for the same job etc.' I just wonder if the company felt safer with someone they thought might be more pliable. More grateful for the role and less likely to question 'suspicious methods' Perhaps fluffy airhead was just what they were looking for :rotfl:
Either way, as everyone else has pointed out nothing he can really do about it0

I've been to a job interview before, which I didn't get.
On later inspection I realised that the management seemed to have a little bit of a thing for 'young gash'.
But I found a much better, full-time job afterwards so had the last laugh.0

I'm sure you did while they were banging blue eyed blonde Pammie Aderson lookalikes.0

I may do whatever I so wish.
I was interested in whether you are "sitting about judging" at home or "sitting about judging" in your employer's time. You accuse us of "sitting around" What precisely are you doing?
BTW, the term, retarted, I find totally offensive.0

I’m afraid there is nothing your boyfriend can do about this. I would suggest that he sticks it out for a few months with a smile and if he fails to be promoted next time round, he should leave. (It’s very difficult to prove discrimination in any form, and male discrimination seems almost impossible to prove)
A relative of mine felt that he had been racially discriminated when he had missed out on numerous promotions. He was pretty sure that he was more suited to the position than other candidates yet remained optimistic for almost two years that he would be promoted from management to senior management. This failed to happen and so he decided to leave the recognised accountancy firm for PWC, it worked out well since he was promoted from management to director in a period of 18 months.0

 I'm sitting around...what's your point?
BTW, thankfully I've yet to be tarted once, so I should have a while before I'm in need of retarting.0

Hmm...i think he is better to accept the situation with his head held high. In fact he should show her a bit of praise too (good sportmanship if you like) as that is probably the only thing that will do him any good in the long run. He will not be seen as a ''sore loser'' if you like - understandably he will be disgruntled but its in his best intention to shrug it off and keep doing his job as best he can.
To be honest, yes sometimes the job goes to the candidate less fit for the job but hey, how can you prove it?
Also i have actually been in this situation, however i am the young, blonde girl with only gcse's and uncompleted AS level qualifications (because i had bills to pay, not because i wasn't smart enough). BUT, that is not to mean i am any less intelligent than the person with numerous degrees and experience. And yes sometimes i come accross as ditsy but thats simply because i have a bubbly personality and not a lot can get me down so i'm nearly always smiling. AND i don't flaunt my intelligence, instead i talk to people on a level, whatever level that is. I have been told over and over that i have been picked to carry out tasks because of my people skills, i come accross very grounded, i dont stress easily and the fact that i generally have a lot more common sense than others (their words, not mine, lol). And i tell you, you don't know how many times i have overheard the ''how come she got the task over such and such?'' comment. But you know what, there is a job to be done and i do it and it's clearly getting noticed.
By the way i am not trying to imply that this is the situation with your boyf, just saying there is probably a broader picture here that you may not be seeing. x Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 x Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0
