bathroom installation

I need to refurbish my bathroom, change suits, new bath, WC, basin and shower. Nothing fancy just basic layout. Nice tiles on the wall, floor. I wonder if you have any bathroom installers that you can recommend, I live in Central London.

Sorry. I would be loathed to recomend anyone to anyone. We had our Bathroom done last year and we got a plumber on recomendation from from a friend. he did an OK job but left us with many problems and an incomplete bathroom.

If I every see him again I think I would be liable to smack him one.

In what way did he do an 'OK' job then? what problems did he leave?

I understand reluctance to recommend, as workmen seem to vary so much on whether a particular job is convenient/enjoyable, on whether they happen to like you, and on whether the wonderful chap who came out for the quotation is the one who actually does the work.

I also understand the frustrations of trying to find someone in Central London, what with all their (justifiable) moans about traffic/parking etc.

So, for what it's worth, I had some bathroom work done last year by a chap called Pawel Ignaciuk [pawel dot ignaciuk at yahoo dot co dot uk]. He did plumbing/tiling/decorating stuff himself, and had a small team to call on for plastering/electrics. The quality of his work was excellent, he's a nice chap and he turned up when he was supposed to (except for a couple of times when he was let down by his electrician, and he was most apologetic). He even knocked money off at the end without being asked because I'd sourced something that he'd been supposed to find (just because I happened to see the right thing). He's based in Wembley, but our work was in NW1. He seemed to be pretty busy, so I hope he hasn't had to follow the streams of Poles going back to Poland. His English is good enough to communicate.
