Following purchase of a new DVD recorder, I've got to connect this up together with Sky box and Video.
Can anyone advise the best way of doing this as I'm a bit flummoxed!

What do you want to be able to record to the DVD Recorder?
If you just want to record sky:
Sky Digibox to SCART on dvdr, dvdr SCART to TV, VCR SCART to TV
Probably not worth recording from VCR to DVD you won't gain any quality from VHS format so probably better recording again but straight to DVD.
The Sky Digibox straight in to the DVDR will give you best image record quality. And you can still use your VCR for watching old recordings.0 -

Off to give that a try - different from what I've tried already (which didn't work!)
Although there are a couple of one off things that I wanted to record from video onto dvd - wedding vid being an example. It might not do much for the quality, but so be it.0 -

It worked that way thanks.
These things that I want to put from video to DVD, is it a case of swapping the scart so that it goes from video to DVDR? Anyone know?
I'm rubbish with these things - hubby has lined me up with a few things to put on dvd from vid as well (one of the ways I sold him the idea of the DVD recorder was that we could put old video stuff onto DVD) so I've got to work it out!!0
