118 travel does not appear to be a travel agency at all but a system used by two travel agents, neither of which is a member of ABTA or has its own ATOL. You pays your money and you take your choice...Not sure I would book unless I knew more about who the actual booking was with.

    never heard of them me
    I am a Travel Agent

My company’s ABTA numbers are P6046. MSE doesn't check my status as a Travel Agent, so you need to take my word for it. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Travel Agent Code of Conduct.
  • I've booked through them and have to do some digging as have had some problems. According to ABTA's search site they are part of Thomas Cook group so that to my understanding makes them an ABTA member.

While they were (very?) cheap I'm not convinced on value as my personal experience to date has not been great.

They seem to have outsourced the flights & accommodation provision to third parties. The accommodation supplier has gone bust/disappeared and it is proving troublesome (understatement) getting 118 to take any accountability for the problem even though it is less than a week to our holiday.

It may all work out OK. They still have time to resolve everything, but holidays are meant to relieve stress and this is doing the opposite.

If you are looking for a cheap booking they may be hard to beat. If you actually want a holiday the jury is still out. If you want one that helps you relax I'd suggest avoiding.
