Is the accomodation you are in at the moment unsuitable due to your disability? This would gain you extra points on the housing list.
If you can't get a disability car, u can still get free road tax for your own car.
If i remember correctly, although DLA has to be declared whilst claiming other benefits, it's not taken into account whilst calculating them, but check this out thoroughly before quoting me, it's been a couple of years since i worked in this field.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
