i have discovered Lidl and Aldi. Wouldn't say i could do a weeks shopping there but they have some excellent bargains like half price fruit and veg give it a go. In my situation every penny counts and it certainly helps.0

;o)It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
On top of all the Savings that we have made, I am finally getting a pay review in my job which should go up to nearly £1100 at least!!! So that will bring in some more money for us.

What a great start to 2006 donna-dan !
Have you ever considered growing your own veg? Makes it even cheaper than Lidl/Aldi and gives you a hobby that's (almost) free in to the bargain.

Dan would like to - but the Garden isn't really big enough! We do go to lidl's every now and again, but like davek1 said wouldn't be able to do weekly shopping - it is v. good for dishwasher tabs etc.0

Well done Donna and Dan. Its good that you have started so young and following lots of advice on here you will not end up in debt in your 30s or 40s. One tip for , cut your dishwasher tabs in half and just use half in each load. I do this all the time now and I don't have to buy them as often.0
