Anyone know how much it would cost to have the electrics fitted to my door mirrors, I have a 2001 Vectra salon?

Do they heat up, enableling me to see out of them?

I do a lot of motorway driving, any rain / spray they're a nightmare to see out of.

Any advice will be greately appreciated ;)

odd, i dont see why they would get too bad with spray, ive driven cars with mirrors that are not heated and they have been fine

how about using some rain x on them?

    excellent stuff

Electric mirrors do not solve the rain and spray issue. I'm a lorry driver and lorries have had heated mirrors for decades - at least 25 years now - and they still end up wet through and when it's road spray, the heaters just help to dry the muck onto the glass.
  • heated mirrors dont heat uo to dry off the rain. they only heat up to melt any ice or snow from them.
i had a new mondeo recently and found the mirrors rubbish in the rain aswell.

as another poster has said maybe some rainex on the side windows and mirror glass would help the water run off.
