HOW DO I BOOT TO SAFE MODE plse

I have printed off the instructions on the site for getting rid of spyware which I obviously have but when I click on the link on how to boot to safe mode I don't go through to the link. When I started my computer this morning I pressed F8 but nothing different happened should I get a different screen to show I am in safe mode or not, sorry for being thick you can imagine how much fun I am going to have trying to get rid of the spyware.. thanks in advance Mandy

just keep tapping the F8 key, you should get a text menu.
option 1 is Safe Mode
