Last Minute Cruise

I've just been offered a new job and due to the length of training I've decided to take 3 weeks off between this job and my new one. My mum had been diagnosed with cancer and she loves cruises, so we want to take her on one between jobs. This is early January.
Can someone please recommend a good site to try? The ones I've looked at seem to be cheap, but add a lot of extras on. We don't mind Med or Carribbean. Or even somewhere relaxing with not a lot of travelling from Belfast/Dublin.
Thanks

Hi Pandapants, slightly Off Topic I know, but does your Mum have travel insurance? If it is not already in place you may find loading to cover the USA/Caribbean in particular extremely expensive. Don't forget that anyone travelling with her will need cover for her pre-existing conditions too.
Sorry if that sounds negative, I hope you find a lovely cruise to go on.0 -

That's a very good point! I didn't even think of that. :money:
I'm thinking just going on a package holiday somewhere I can go direct from Belfast. But it's proving hard. There appear to be very few last-minute deals from here!!Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!

2nights in BCN 80eur per night.
How many people? there are some good cabins that sleep 3/4 in two bedrooms on NCL but much more money
Better availability on the 25 Jan or a shorter(9n) trip on the 16th to the Canaries.0 -
I saw a Fred Olsen cruise, 10 nights around the Canaries and Spain for approx £400 per person. Goes from Dover. that was with Liverpool Cruise Club.0

You must check out the insurance side first, as treatment on board ship is always on a private basis and is costly.
Cruisekings.co.uk have all available cruises ex UK and their prices are really competetive, we always use them.
In January , most ships are repositioned to the Caribbean, but there may be some European options especially if you sail out of Rome, Barcelona or Venice.0 -
There are some 10 night Royal Caribbean in the med with some great prices ATM for Jan, lovely ship0
