Ok, we've had the show us your dresses thread, the show us your rings thread (did anyone else find that funny? no? Just me then lol) so heres the show us your venue thread.
I'll start

It was the first place we saw and didn't bother looking anywhere else. It felt like home as soon as I went in. It is way more than I was ever expecting (both in cost and the way it looks) but I LOVE it and will never regret choosing it. It's an old 14th Century gatehouse and the crown jewels were kept here once when they were used in securement for a loan!
The building to the right is a tiny church where we hope to have a blessing afterwards and at the front of the picture (out of sight) are the guest cottages. Would you believe it's actually a Marriott hotel! The honeymoon suite is a 2 floor maisonette with 2 lounges which will be great for getting ready in.
We've been there about 6 times now, the staff know us and are so lovely to us and everyone we've shown it to say one thing as you come up the 1/2 mile gravel driveway.......WOW :j
So Ive shown you mine - now show me yours!

Ladies- just a word of warning. On some wedding forums, people's weddings have been mysteriously cancelled after putting details of the venue online along with other bookings made such as photographers.0

Hi girls!!
tis is where our ceremony is gona be held... We are a little bit at a loss as to how to decorate it... We thought about hanging white drapes between all the pilars. I am getting married in red, btw.
What do you think?

As for the reception, we are going to hold it at our local University Staff Centre. Here is a pic of the actual room: the carpeted bit is where you ahve dinner and the wood floor bit is where the disco will be. There are a set of sliding frosted glass doors between the pilars.
The second pic is an example of the tables we are going to get. Again, any suggestions on decs? We do not want to have flwers as we don;t see the point in the expense. Again i would like the theme to be red and white/silver. i was suggesting candles and fairy lights and organza bows... Any ideas/suggestions?

This is where we're going to say our I do's over in Canada (you can just about see the lodge where we're having it on the little bit that juts out into the lake!)

Although we're going in February when there'll be a LOT of snow
So rather than get married at the water's edge we'll probably be out on this glass-fronted balcony (or inside by the fire!)
Here's another bride on the balcony looking the other way at the view, braving the elements!
