GAP, Swindon Outlet village

Went to return a jumper i bought from GAP in the Swindon outlet village. it still had all the tags on, but i had lost the receipt. Spoke to the manager who said i can have an exchange at the current selling price (which was £12- i paid £16 for it) which i was happy with.
Found an item, went to the till, where the sales lady didn`t know the store policy. She then went to speak to the manager who was out back. She came back and said we can exchange it (which i told her in the first place). Then she said she wasn`t sure again, so she sent her friend to ask the manager again! Then her friend came back, and the sales lady told her the label had "fal08" on the label (it was already printed on the label not marked on). The girl went off again to speak to the manager, then came back and said i couldn`t exchange as it was over the 30 days policy (i think i was just over the 30 days policy).
Now i can understand no refund or gift vouchers, but i only wanted an exchange and they couldn`t even give that as a goodwill gesture. I certainly won`t be shopping there again.

Because if not, well you haven't got a leg to stand on I'm afraid - of course it would have been better if the Gap assistant had actually known the correct exchanged policy & not mucked you about!!

With no receipt, I'd say that's fair enough... A good idea to keep receipts in future if you change your mind about things.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
