From what I have read elseware, once they take your money (which you say they have) they have entered into a contract with you. Are there any get out clauses in the email?
    .
  • Here is a copy of the email... ???

    Dear Mr Evilistix,

    Thank you for your order.

If your item is in stock it should be with you the next working day for most orders placed before 3pm, or within two working days if placed after 3pm. Non stock items may take a little longer and will
be despatched for next working day delivery the day they arrive with us.

If you have paid by Paypal it is a good idea to confirm your Paypal account. When you receive your next credit card statement you'll find a four digit number next to the Paypal transaction - log in to
your Paypal account and enter this number. You can then make unlimited Paypal payments and receipts.

If you have attempted to pay by Paypal but not managed to complete the sign up process we will contact you for payment details prior to shipping. In some cases this is because you need to click on the
refresh button after selecting a credit card type, because telephone numbers are not accepted - the first box is for your country code (e.g. 44 for UK) not area code, or because the address does not match
the address your card holder has on file (make sure you select outside the US on the first screen). If you wish to try again please submit a new order and we will delete the first from the system.

Please note that for telephoned orders we only take payment when we ship the goods.

If are paying by cheque please make your cheque payable to Laptopbits and send it to Laptopbits, Midge Hall Farm, Midge Hall Lane, Leyland, Lancashire PR26 6TN.

If your order is urgent please email glenn@laptopexpress.co.uk or call and we will confirm a delivery date.

    Order Number: 1080007
    Date and Time: 03/12/2004 00:02
    Order Total: 2.50

Thanks once again for your order.

    Regards,

    Laptopbits Limited

Yup - Here we go again. Hope it does not turn as sore as the dell one. Ordered one myself. Lets see what happens
    Regards
  • lol its good people share this but now that the whole of the MSE members are going to do it, what chance do we have of getting it? I doubt it, but I still ordered 2 only £2.50 postage costs.

I'm assuming that most MSEer's don't have Toshiba Tecra 8000 laptops with broken screens - so I have to ask, why are you plaguing this poor company with requests for replacement TFT screens *just* because they've been mis-priced?

This is a totally pointless exercise.
