Query on fine print regards couresy car
hello all - Im looking at car insurance wiuth Bell. In the policy Doc regards the courtesy car it states that if there is a crash and the car is undriveable: "we will arrange for one of our approved repairers to collect your car and deliver it to your home or place of work within a 30 mile radius"
My concern is: I travel a lot for work (and have family both ends of the country). If I crash 100 miles from my home / anywhere - what happens? One of their sales reps said they "wont leave me stranded" but as there is nothing in the print Im not so sure. I've seen other providers say any help they provide in getting drivers home safe costs.
What is the general practive with most insurers regarda getting a driver home?

thanks

Basically it means that they'll deliver a courtesy or hire car to either your home or, if your place of work is within 30 miles of your home, your place of work instead.
Regarding getting home after an accident, you pay for it out of your own pocket and claim the costs off the insurance.
Surely if you're travelling a lot for work, that would become your employers problem in the event of an accident during work time? Have you got insurance for business use?0 -
