Savings Account

Options
Hi there, I am looking to open a separate savings account as me and my partner are wishing to save for a mortgage. Can you suggest any accounts that are easy to access if you need money taking out? and offer the best what’s around as I’m not sure where to begin, as I have tried applying online (NATWEST) and I am unable to for some reason.

Thanks In Advance

i have a first-direct e-savings and current account... all i need to do is transfer money from my savings to my first-direct current when i need extra money...
*(note, you do not get paid intrest for the month you transfer money from the e-savings account)
*(note, you get £25 for opening up a First-direct current account if you have at least £100 in it for a month... money is paid 1 month after having at least £100 in the account)

Hi. Another suggestion might be to try the Nationwide. They have an E-Savings A/C with a rate of 4.75% Gross/AER. You need to have a current account with them I think to be able to do this but it might be worth it. - http://www.nationwide.co.uk

Or there is the Newcastle BS one - http://online.newcastle.co.uk/online/IndexNewcastleSavings4.htm?webabacus_id=1129302176937-1 - depending on whether you choose monthly/yearly interest will determine your rate, but it is still very good - either 4.90%/4.75% Gross/AER.

i aint sure... i just put in £100 and left it there... the next month i got the money... aint sure how long you have to leave it in there for. rather leave it for a month just incase.. 25% intrest in a month isnt that bad... i doubt you can put your £100 anywhere else and make such great profit!
