Where i can i get these files from???

Hi,

i am having problems with my sound not working since installing a new hard drive - does anyone know where i can get these files from:

swmidi.sys
kmixer.sys
dmusic.sys

they are Microsoft files which should be on my win98se installation disc - problem is that I don't have that disc anymore.

Try looking on the following sites:

Soundcard-Drivers.com or driverguide.com

Both sites allow free downloads of essential driver files.

I suspect your OS kernel is corrupt and you may have to re-install W98.

Anyway .sys files can be downlooaded from here.

you were right I re-installed and all works fine now. I wasn't sure that a re-install might not affect the drive file, but it left them all in place - I backed up to be safe though.
