I am not sure if I should say this or not - but what the heck! the poster is asking about 'canapes'............traditionally they are little tidbits served while the guests are getting together and having the first drink of the night! canapes are ALWAYS one bite big as the guests dont have plates and have a drink in one hand - they are supposed to take the canape and eat it without having to hold the canape and take another bite (they shouldnt need to go wash their hands either, so anything sticky should be on a cocktail stick).
I know this got merged with an earlier thread about buffets - but buffets and canapes are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS!
thanks meritaten
Might help the reponses to the latest query focus on the questioncardiogirl wrote: »There will be 230 people coming & we will be giving them a welcome drink on arrival (as well as a buffet style supper later). I have been asked to come up with canape ideas to give out with the welcome drinks & am struggling. .
Does anyone have any other ideas of cheap & easy to do canapes bearing in mind that I will probably have to do them all myself. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

The OP asked about buffet food so people are mentioning it
Maybe the person who put about canapes should start a different threadNeeding to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down. Lots more to go to get into my size 6 jeans0 -

they DID sharnad! but for some reason it got merged with an earlier thread about buffets! so people got confused!
the OP specifically asked about 'canapes'! so why it was merged with an earlier thread for buffet for 100 is beyond me?0 -

Personally I'd rather browse through one tthread with a few irrelevant answers than lots of threads on similar things with only a few posts! Anyway just my thoughts!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.
