not really an instruction but is it just me being slow or what. i've just worked out that bread is much better to buy thin sliced - you get more pieces and noone really caes in my house and its better for you as you only tend to have 2 slices anyway thick or thin:confused:

Well I prefer the thick sliced bread - it makes better toast, also my kids are poor eaters at the mo, but they do eat toast and plain sandwiches and so I feel that the thick bread fills them up a wee bit better!

  • I am sure I have seen things to reset the chips to make them think the cartridges are full, just can't remember where - certainly not where they sell the original cartridges and no ink refills ...

Yeh. Loads of places sell chip resetters. I think Epson are the main culprits here....
  • Hmmm. Some of these tips are a bit OTT...

Is it just me or do others find some of them just a bit weird? Theres not wasting money and theres being unnecessarily tight ;-) LOL.
  • Re the shampoo use/don't use debate, see Matthew Parris at

    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/matthew_parris/article670388.ece second item.

He hasn't used shampoo for ten plus years: "Readers, if only you could all run your fingers through my hair: as light and fluffy as a kitten’s coat. And (to answer your unspoken question) not at all smelly — snuffle your noses in it, do — because I rinse my hair daily under the shower."

Crackers are dangerous in the wrong hands lol, when I was little I found the inner snap bit. I pulled it wondering what would happen and received a very nasty burn just under my eye. It was a very painfull experince that I would never want to repeat and strangely forgot about.

    Just though of another one;

On items that you need to make up with water, gravey granual, cheese sauce, curry sauce that sort of thing. On the tubs it usually tells you how to make them up but I find if you follow it then you end up with too much and a lot of waste. I make to my own taste's now and find that gravey granuals and cheese sauce last a lot longer than it would it I followed the instructions.

we have always used epson printers from day one, and even this new one has the chipped cartriges. i've only ever bought replacement ones from ebay and have never had a problem with them. a set of 6 plus a spare black usually cost about £6.99 and even the photos print ok with the cheaper ink.

Sorry but I'm going to vote for thick sliced bread (or thick slices of bread!) saving me money - when I'm hungry and have a sandwich I will have 2 slices of thick or 3 or 4 of thin, so thick saves me money on the filling of the sandwich!

And who ever would have thought water bottles could be so confusing!

I like to have hot chocolate at work and have a jar of Options. They recommend 3 tsps which is way too much, I normally use 1 1/2 - 2 and it is fine - really tasty in fact!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

I've racked my brain trying to think of one that's not been said and all I could remember was I usually take 1 tablet for headaches not the 2 advised it usually hits the spot fine.
I also water down fresh fruit juice nothing to do with instructions but I prefer it that way my OH thinks its gross but it lasts twice as long and is much better for your teeth

I use sparkling water and fruit juice, half and half, for a very refreshing drink!

  • RE washing powder: I live in a hard water area, but find that by adding about 20ml (on measure jug) of washing soda crystals I can use the amount of powder for soft area. Soda crystals are much cheper than washing powder and much much cheaper than calgon!

I also find that sometimes items can be washed with no powder at all for a freshen up, just use common sense whats on them etc.

I did try a no powder ball - only seems effective with low soil items and zero product seems to work just as well.

I stopped using conditioner when my daughter was young as it caused allergic dermatitis. Not used it since and dont miss it. If I want to smell like a summer meadow (or whatever) I use perfume!

Re Dog food, Always start with the lowest recommended amount and adjust accordingly, you may find you need less to keep your dog healthy or more if they are active. Also beware high energy dog food if you dont work your dog for several hours a day. Many behaviour problems are cased by improper feeding.
