Please Help, HD Television!!

Options
Hi all, i seem to be the only person that doesnt understand this High Definition stuff, please can someone help:

I have an Xbox 360 with the HD cable, and a (suppose to be) High Definition ready Television (Samsung WS32Z308P) however when i change the setting in the option to High definition i just get a "no signal" from my TV am i doing something wrong or is there something else i need to buy to get this to work??

I am thinking of taking the TV back as i am having other problems with it aswell, i was going to get either a Samsung LE32R51BD 32 or a LG 32LX2R any suggestions on which one would be best for HD gaming and also veiwing (When Sky digital becomes HD)

I Hope Someone can Help

You might get a better response if you post on the AV Forum...

You could check the HD lead for the xbox 360 as the connector that goes into the system has a switch push it one way and it for a normal TV and the other for HD TV.

Dont know if this will help

hdtv should have hdcp software in it. if not its not hd ready.
  • One other thing you might be doing is connecting it incorrectly, the hd cable you get with the xbox has a scart connection you can add onto it.this is the wrong way to connect if you want high defintion, it should be all the cables connected apart from the yellow one.just in case you really have no idea what you're doing with hd televisions and connections etc ;)
