Help, drafting a letter to my bank - is it even worth it?

Hi,
I am just writing a letter to my bank as I believe I have not had the best deal out of them for the last few years and need all the help I can get at the moment.
Can I ask if people here believe if it will get me anywhere, or what approach I may best else take, if any?
Am I wasting my time now though, I wonder?

Hi,
Just over a year ago I asked the question to the RBS of obtaining an overdraft. The reason for this was I wish to change from weekly pay to monthly wages, and have very little buffer to do this for the three-four weeks I would be without a wage payment.
The first person I spoke to over a year ago told me I could have an 'overdraft' of £1000 over the phone. soon afterwards it became obvious this was not an overdraft, but a loan - and the money had already been placed into my account. I was suspicious when I received a phone call and told to tell anyone that may phone me up that it was "for repairs to a car"
I did not see anything to do with APR, nor sign anything.
Upon calling back to check what was going off, I was told this was ok as I had 14 days to decline, which I did and the money was taken back out of my account. I was mad but didn't take it further as I had other problems at the time.
I believe at this point is when I opened up another bank account, which at the time was my 3rd account with RBS - now my only account with RBS. I did this as I was told I was not able to have the overdraft unless I had this specific account, which incurred charges of £15 per month. This was the ONLY reason I opened this account, and was told that after paying wages into it for "a few months" I would be eligable to have an overdraft facility on the account - despite having paid my wages into RBS for the past 12 years.
At this point, I do not have the names of the people I spoke to's name anymore, as its some time ago and I have had a hectic year.
Shortly afterwards my marriage broke down and as a result of that I had to obtain a substantial sum of money to settle joint debts previously only in my wifes name, and I did come to the RBS at this point for a loan, which you arranged for me, £10,000
I had problems with this too, as I am only too aware of what I can and cannot afford, I did not want payment protection on there which amounted to a significant sum. Again I was told that I probably would not be approved if I took it off, but I could do so after a few months. I was not in any state of mind to argue so I took it at face value. I believe I made 3 or 4 payments at the increased rate, before my loan ammount went down to £214 per month. I don't believe I have ever been late with any payment as they are automated, but the question has just been raised by Martin at the branch that I may have been.
Having read the above, I am wanting to ask you a couple of questions.
1) The initial loan I was given for £1000, does that detract from my credit score, and if so what can be done about it. At that stage I never wanted a loan and surely money should not have been put into my account without me signing anything?
2) I have been paying £15 per month for over a year, for something which looks like it will never materialise. Can I get these charges back, as I really do feel I have been mis-sold this account.

I think this is the first time I have ever said this on any forum but the Member of Staff who dealt with the first aspect of it should be sacked from RBS Group.
They no only gave you a loan but also tried to cover their tracks by ringing you back.
On a separate point there is PPI misselling on loan 2.
You can't get back the Advantage Golde fees but you can change the account back to a current plus.0 -

Please ask RBS to audit trail this loan. Then put a formal grievance in about this loan because you rang up to extend an overdraft. They processed a loan and what seems to be without your signature. They then went on to call you back and made sure to cover their own backs in case they were audited and someone called you. I am absolutely fuming at your post, not at you, but from reading how devious that person was who you first spoke to.0
