V annoying Spyware, can't get rid of it!

I have some annoying spyware on my PC that I can't get rid of. Ran scans with Ad-aware, spy bot S&D, Microsoft anti spyware and CWS shredder, but it's still there.

It affects searches on google, when I click on a link it takes me to a different page, although it always goes to the correct page on the third attempt. Also some urls won't load.

Any ideas what it is and how to get rid of it??

Also, it may be worth going into Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs and uninstalling anything that looks dubious, you don't recognise or you can live without.
