Actually matty_c608, I had an invite sent to my Yahoo email. When I clicked the link to use it, it just asked me to sign in with my MSN Passport which I did, and everything worked okay.
You CAN in fact have both MSN Messenger & Live Messenger installed... I just spent a while trying to get 7.5.0322 back because I don't like Live Messenger!
I firstly renamed the MSN Messenger dir in Program Files, but it recreated a new one! So I left the renamed and the recreated MSN Messenger folders, and uninstalled it from Add/Remove Programs. Then I reinstalled 7.5.0322 and created a shortcut to the renamed Live Messenger folder. Both versions work.0 -
Why dont you like it ? Is it just cause it looks a little weird ? Not what you are used to ?
remember you can can play around with tools and options etc so you can customise how it looks.
I almost had a heart attack when EVERY contact was listed ! Things like that.****************************0 -
Yup I am going to play with it some more (and don't get me wrong, I'm very greatful for your invitation
), I just don't like the colour scheme etc. I'm sure I'll get used to it!
EDIT, Ok, now they could've made that little paint bucket in the top right corner a bit bigger - but now I've replaced the orange with a nice blue it looks better.0 -

Hello,
I rather like this one but, I installed it for my mum and she doesn't like it (it took her ages to get used to msn and she says she'd rather stick with what she had before).
Do I need to uinstall everything messenger related to get her back to 7.5? If I download 7.5 again will she have lost all her info and contacts etc?
Thanks0 -

Hi,
I couldnt get used to the moving description when you put the mouse over the contact name - this can be chnaged in Options though:)
To get back to 7,5, removed "Messenger Beta" from Add\Remove Programs and then reinstall Messenger 7.5 from messenger.msn.co.uk or locally if you have 7.5.
No, she wont lose her contacts as they are stored remotely in the land of MSN.
