in Techie Stuff
Not a techie, so please bear with me. If I download a ccleaner, can I leave it at its default settings, as I do not know enough for me to be able to select what I want it to do? Would it be better not to use one at all, rather than download it and not know what options to select? Also the two that I've heard about are ccleaner and FileHippo. Does it matter which one I choose?

ccleaner is the homepage of the tool, which will redirect you to Filehippo to download.
You can leave the default settings, but take a look at the settings, it's fairly easy to understand and you may find something in there you don't want to be cleaned eg search history. Here's some guides:

The only things I change is to untick the cookies boxes for the browsers as it's a PITA having to type in usernames and passwords again everytime you've run CCleaner.0

When installing ccleaner, make sure you uncheck the yahoo toolbar option ( unless you really want it).That gum you like is coming back in style.0
