Raised dog beds

Just a comment on the raised beds - my family dog used to sleep on a chair in the corner of the room, as he got older and more doddery my dad had to cut the legs off the chair to make sure the dog could still get on it!!:rotfl:
It was the shortest chair I've ever seen! So a raised bed may need a *little* adjusting as the dog gets older

All I know is that in my camping days, it was warmer on a thick mat on the ground than it was on a camp bed with 6" of howling gale underneath ...
