Hi everyone,

Im having problems with my brake light switch (it keeps on sticking and the brake lights arent coming on!) Ive got upside down and into the footwell to have a look at it but i cant see a way of removing it! My car is a Peugeot 306 (1999) any idea how much it will cost me to have it repaired / replaced?
Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht frist and lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae we do not raed ervey lteter by it slef but the wrod as a wlohe.

  • Find a Peugeot forum and ask there. Plenty of people will know how it's removed.

Pr4obably just presses or snaps into place, buy a new one and have a good look at that. Even if you can't do it yourself you should have saved money by supplying the part:money:
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
  • they normally just need a 1/4 turn then pull out.
usually best to remove the wires once you have taken the switch off the bracket.

They usually just pull out of their holder and may need some adjustment if they are always on or off.

    Have a look on here:
    http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/

You will need to register, - its free, - it should show you the exploded diagrams of the switch, the part number and the cost from your local dealer. You may find it cheaper to get a new one.
