Novotel at Edinburgh Park

I have an interview here tomorrow and was wondering if there is a bus stop near to the Novotel? I am guessing a 22 will take me. I am just not sure where to get off and if it will be near enough to the Novotel to walk after getting off the bus.

Wish I had thought about posting in here earlier!!

Sorry, can't help with the bus but it is very close to Edinburgh Park train station.

    Good luck with the interview!

    Thanks.

I think there is a bus stop next to the train station, so hopefully the 22 goes there. How far a walk is it from there? Just trying to work out times. don't want to get there too early, cos hanging around in an Industrial Estate for a while isn't my idea of fun lol.

    Right next to it.

Not very MSE but if you get there early, you could have a coffee before the interview - give you time to gather your thoughts?

It isn't an industrial estate, it's a retail park with the likes of Tescos

The 22 doesn't go to the station the easiest way is by train

It would be too much hassle for me to get the train, it would still mean getting a bus to the nearest train station from me, so it is just as easy to get a bus up town then a bus from there to Edinburgh Park.

Tesco is at Hermiston Gait Retail Centre I am sure.

Edinburgh Park is an Industrial Estate. This from their own site says:

Edinburgh Park is one of the UK's premier business locations.
This award-winning business park is home to 21 of some of the country's top performing companies.

The 22 does go to Edinburgh Park, (not particularly bothered if it goes to the station or not though). The Novotel is in Lochside Avenue, and the 22 takes me to Lochside Crescent, so I am sure that shouldn't be much of a walk. I could get a 24 that does have a bus stop at the station, but it's a bit of a long way for a short cut.

    Thanks for your help though.

And the Novotel is at one end of Edinburgh Park beside Hermiston Gate and Edinburgh Park STATION, with the 22 bus route going through the centre of Edinburgh Park industrial estate - about half a mile from the Novotel.

The only bus that goes to Edinburgh Park STATION is the 24 which you can get from The Gyle,

Question - if you "knew" the answer beforehand, why did you bother asking?

Because I wanted to know if any other buses other than the 24 or 22 went to Edinburgh . D'oh!

And since I am coming from East Lothian, going to The Gyle to get the 24 back to Edinburgh Park would be just a tad silly for my journey methinks.

Because I wanted to know if any buses other than the 22 and 24 that I already know about went to Edinburgh Park too. Like I said I don't care where in Edinburgh Park I get off, as long as I get to Edinburgh Park, I have legs that will carry me to The Novotel.

I am coming from East Lothian, so I think going to The Gyle, to get a bus to Edinburgh Park would be a tad silly, when I can get a bus from the town centre straight to Edinburgh Park.

    Hi

I work in one of the buildings just near the Novotel you speak of. If you get off the 22 bus when you're just next to the Aegon building (ie: before it turns the corner to Drumsheugh) then walk directly over the roundabout and keep walking. You'll walk past a large grassy field and you'll see the Novotel in the distance. You'll need to head for the train station and use the undercover walkway to get to the other side. Then you'll be 1 minutes walk from the hotel.

The 22 is the best as it is most regular and you can take it all the way from Ocean Terminal.

    Best of luck!
