Savastore.com/Watford Electronics

I purchased a 17inch TFT Monitor from this company 3 months ago and it died 3 weeks ago. This company will not do anything to replace it, saying that it is the manufactures problem. Philips dispute this i am stuck in the middle with no monitor. When you ring Watford Electronics the customer service line is never answered and you are constantly asked to get in touch by e-mail, rather difficult when you do not have a monitor. This is the worst service I have ever recieced. Any ideas on how I can get this company to repond
Thank you

I had the exact same service rrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaarrrr, I nicely let there sales team that their CS department was letting them down for various reasons and said I would never use them again. It purely their CS department that lets them down.

The annoying thing is that they are really good , old savastore.

I have also got around problems in the past by speaking to my works savastore (Watford Electroincs) account manager and he sorted everyhting in seconds even though 10 calls to their CS department did nothing. I find them stubborn and with attitude with no buisness sense.

    Hope some of this helps.

Your contract is with the seller, not the manufacturer. Go to the trading standards website and download the info from there. You will then be armed with the details of your rights and hopefully you can persuade them to meet their obligations.

If you can't get through on customer services ring the sales number (0870 027 0900) and insist that you speak to someone about this.

Your contract is with the seller, it is their responsibility to sort this out.

Funny, but I have always found them to be expensive compared to the other online retailers.

I only buy from them for convenience as I can go into their shop (and take it back there if necessary).

I bought a motherboard from this lot. It was dead on arrival. I sent it back by recorded delivery for replacement or refund.

They've now had it for five weeks. The return status on the website says 'unknown.' I've used their website feedback three times and e-mailed them twice to complain in the strongest possible terms. The website says they will respond to feedback in 24 hours - it's a lie. I've had only one e-mail response to my complaints about three weeks ago which was a glib and obvious cut-n-paste apologising for the inconvenience.

I've tried phoning them on their premium 0870 number and just keep getting put on hold forever.

Anyone know what further action I can take? Are they in breach of the Sale of Goods Act or Distance Selling regulations? Is there anything I could try through my credit card company or Trading Standards?

How about contacting a computer mag such as ComputerActive who have legal eagles who can help with a little adverse publicity? Name and shame springs to mind!
