Morning all, from a very snotty and achy me..

pigpen omg I just read what happened to you hon, I am so glad that you are all okay. As my grannie used to say material things can be replaced people can't, and thankfully your kitchen/cooker can be replaced. Can I just ask are you going to try and have a noneventful 2009 next year.. :D?

Well after spending all day sleeping, on and off, and still not feeling any better today I am officially taking today off from doing any household duties. Well that is unless this darn cold/flu/bug, or whatever it is, decides to play ball and behave then I can make a start on doing some three's (babysteps in threes!). But the main priority today is:

Post niece's Christmas present special delivery at the post office.
Put Christmas tree up and decorate it.
Write a grovelling email to DH begging him to give me some money for the weekend..lol seriously this isn't as bad as it sounds it's just I'm broke and I don't get my benefit money until Sunday.
Try not to cry too much over my finances, or lack of I should say.
Prepare veg for parsnip soup and pumpkin soup.
    Cook above soups (hopefully!)
    Drink plenty of fluids
Eat something substantial, as yesterday I really wasn't interested in food. Although saying that I'm not interested today either. :(
Curl up on sofa and watch trashy t.v. and keep warm

There that should keep me going..lol.

*hugs* to everyone, and welcome to all the newbies.

Off to have a soak in the bath so I can feel semi human at least.

BTW does anyone else use Firefox - how? It seems really fiddly...so I now have two browsers...

I've used Firefox for a few years now and prefer it to IE which I find really fiddly! I suppose it's what you're used to. I can't get the fancy smilies to work so maybe that's the reason - maybe they only work on IE?

avoid dairy. I've never had such a short cold in my life!

dairy is very mucous forming. Since I gave up dairy my sinusitis has gone and a cold only lasts about a day!

TAG your cards arrived this morning
Nicki well done, I usually get my parcels redelivered as our sorting office is open the same hours but the queue is always huge, waiting about an hour is normal!
AnW'sMum hope you and little A have a wonderful time
    hollyh ok, don't forget lol
ashia hope you manage to get some better sleep tonight, me and my partner have insomnia sometimes, always worse when both together
greenbee did you remove the millipede? My dog caught a spider last night, then it was sneaky, pretended it was dead then ran off when he wasn't looking so he spent an hour trying to find it again
juliejim hope the party goes well, I did read that as washed a plate of sandwiches at first :o

Can someone remind me at 11.45am to go collect DS2 from school, wants to come home to get changed/have lunch before party. Actually I think I will set the alarm on my phone so I don't forget. Then collect him 3.30pm instead of 3.15pm

Really need to get something done at home today, it's more untidy than dirty, people leaving things everywhere, DPs can collection that he thinks makes a lovely display decorating the living room (think I will make him remove those himself!) I still have some shopping in the car I need to get out aswell :o I think I will start with the kitchen list from yesterday, then do todays list later.
One day I might be more organised...........

morning OJK, don't burn yourself out, you never seem to stop

Speaking of stop, cappucino and jammie dodgers anyone? I went in the kitchen with the best intentions, honestly, just coffee machine started talking to me :o anyway when I have looked, it shouldn't take me more than half an hour to straighten out, then 2 hours or so to go through the cupboards :o to see what we have in and I can remove off my shopping list.
