Triker - if he's thirsty - forget the juice, just give him a glass of water. If he's not eating properly, the sugar in the juice (even if it's natural) will be upsetting his blood sugar levels. Get him some carbs (a nice bowl of porridge? That'll slip down easy) and if he's collapsing, then you may want to think about calling the doctor.

This is not medical advice. It's experience...

Ta hun, good advice there, he wanted some porridge earlier and I got some for him. Will sort him some water out and keep an eye on him.;)

DS came home today from uni, really pleased to see him, thought we could spend a nice evening together as a family....but no, he went straight out with his mates & still isn't back....kids huh

Hugs Lady-L unfortunately, that's the way of the offspring (particularly student ones!) who have left in my experience. He's come home, knows he'll get good food, clean bedding and his washing done so he has nothing to do but go visit his mates. It doesn't mean he doesn't love you. But, I suspect he'll be out until late and then will sleep late tomorrow morning. If you're lucky, he may surface just after lunch and will appreciate a bacon sandwich. The fact that you'll make that bacon sandwich will make him love you even more! ;)

I cannot understand why they tell them not to wear nappies.. it is ridiculous.. they just make our life difficult!
They tell 'em not to wear nappies in the vain hope they then won't wet..well I am sorry BUT if they wet then nappies are needed. End of. And in these days of efficient disposables why not? I can remember wearing nappies because I was a late learner...so I have been really lucky as both of mine were dry very early - DD really early...but I still have mattress protectors on even now - on ALL ours...beds are way too expensive. It's just like the midwife who told me that natural childbirth was better than a section...then admitted she had had sections. My personal experience is that elective section are better then emergencies and you had better have attitude and not be prepared to put up with carp while you're in there...

Well found some energy from somewhere and ironed (as some idiot had put the heating up to 24 deg so I thought that the ironing might as well air in the balmy atmosphere) - house is now at 20 deg (phew thought I was having a MAJOR hot flush there for a while) and cleared the dining room and DS bedroom floor into a big bag which I hid in the wardrobe because I am fed up of mess...he is having a major strop. His xmas list included DVDs but I have told my family NOT to buy him any because he doesn't put them away. So he isn't getting any. He had about 2 months to learn to put them away and failed. Likewise when he goes to his dads he borrows my laptop bag (which I never use but that IS NOT the point) then leaves it in there. Laptop bag emptied and relocated to new home.
Am double cross as kids decided they needed gift for dad's gf so I had to 'donate' stuff I have received from school. If the situation were reversed he would do s*d all tbh. But I am a better person than that and I did not need a box of heroes and a jotter pad thing anyway (already have 2) - just hacked off because I get scant respect from them all (and child support of £50 per week!) Well atleast I get something.

I am going to go shopping tomorrow and have a posh coffee on my own if needs be...

I have been hibernating! Didnt you miss me :p lol. The only one I knew about was John Sergeant as he got so much coverage.

The only things I've been watching for the past 3 months are MOTD, MOTD2, Desperate Housewives, Survivors, Sunday Supplement, Mad Men and live football matches. Oh and the news. Now I've got a bit of time to myself, I have started watching Eastenders. I'm a bit confused. Everyone seems to be a Mitchell, a Branning or a Slater

ooh with you on MOTD & Desperate Housewifes my only other regular thing has been spooks & heroes

Johanne you could try moving her gradually, I've worked with a few dinkies on this, has she got a dropside cot and is there room next to the bed to put it? Suggestion is putting it next to the bed as an extension of your bed initially, so she sees it as safe, settle her in it with you next to her if possible, if not on the bed next to it. Gradually working towards her being in the cot on her own, not be long before she's in a bed really. BABY STEPS! My DS2 was big and disliked cots so he was in a normal bed at 20 months (couldn't walk) he used to hit the cot all the time so we gave up on it.

:T Great minds.... i thought about that and we did this last sunday.. its not a drop side (cheap ikea one) cot but we just took side off and butted it up to our bed, it is helping, there is deffo more "in cot" time...and least now she only wakes 2/3 times a night :)

Well, I'm another one with SSL I don't do Strictly nor any of the other 'reality' TV things like X factor etc. so I don't have a clue.. Give me The African Queen any day!

I have a 6 & 10 year old who wanted xfactor but mummy likes the dancing so the girls have had to watch it... Dont really do reality telly but I have liked the dancing over the last couple of years.
