Hi
yes i would freeze it, portion it up first into manageable sizes and that way you won`t have to defrost more than you need.

Make sure you label it tho' - otherwise you may get the odd surprise when the chicken you're defrosting turns out to be something else!Resolution:

So if I cook a whole chicken, what should I do with leftovers? Freeze?
Same with gammon joints and such like.
Thanks x
Yes you can freeze them :j I chop mine up so that they can easily be added to curry or pasta sauce, quiche or other meals
I'll add this to the existing thread

I found this old forum discussion and was wondering can you freeze cooked meats (like the wafer thin ham etc) you can get in supermarkets. My local co-op has loads of stuff like honey roast ham but it says not to freeze them. is this because it was frozen already?0

If it says not to freeze it, then it's probably for a reason. As you have said the chances are it may have been frozen before so it woudn't be advisable to freeze again.

Curries and stews are always great. Cook up one (or a bit of both) and then freeze whatever you don't want. It defrosts great, and if in portions it can make a great quick meal.0
