[B]problems with mp3 player[/B]

i brought my son a 1g sumvision mp3 player for christmas and i think he has been messing with the settings. When you switch it on the light comes on for a couple of seconds then goes off, but there is on writing on the screen. so you dont know what your doing. When it is connected to the pc you can see the music on it and play it through the pc. I was wondering if there is a way of resetting it back to the factory setting? and starting again.

2 ways to change your settings.
If you press play, then hold in the wheel that scrolls your music, you should then get the settings menu, from there you just scroll through and change whatever you want.
Also if you press stop and then hold the wheel in you should get another set of settings, and again scroll through until you find the settings that you want to change.

thanks but i dont get any text on the screen, it only lights up and changes colour.

The only thing I can advise then, is to get your manual, follow instructions to get to the backlight settings, and change from there, even though you can't see the text, once you get to the backlight/contrast/brightness, you just push the button forward to adjust and hopefully things will become a bit clearer. :rolleyes:
Or follow manual to factory settings, and reset.
