    Cheers TOG..........Looks good.

it was this or the Razor Diamondback

Take a look at the Razer Copperhead. It's got the edge on the Logitech.

I find the Logitech's too heavy. I've had the Razer Viper, Diamondback and Copperhead. The Copperhead rox - and looks good with my Saitek Eclipse.

You should get the ESP headset mouse with intergrated feeding spoon. :D

I thought that the idea of the weight pack with the G5 was to balance it to your requrements. The reviews I've seen (I've been through quite a few) have all mentioned that the additional weights are needed before it feels 'good'. I'm surprised you say it's too heavy.

Cheers everyone. I've already ordered now, Lets see how quick that first class post is now.

For quite a while now he seems to be forever playing Guildwars. I've set him up two screens, but he seems to prefer this game on one. The Ultra was expensive (£375), but what a card! Along with the rest of the machine, it goes like a rocket..............

    Asus A7 N8X E Deluxe
    1GB RAM
    Tagan TG480-U01 PSU
    Athlon XP 3200+
    Western Digital Raptor 74GB HDD
W2000 Pro (excellent network gaming OS)

And there's me chugging along on my old faithful machine..........lol

Cheers TOG. Looks like another excellent supplier to add to my list. I ordered the mouse Thursday evening and it arrived this morning (Sat).

Rexs quick review of this mouse (after having a play this morning). £50 (inc del) is a lot of money to spend on a wired mouse. However, if you are a gamer, this looks like it is worth every penny.

Setup was a doddle. As soon as you plug it in (USB), it is running. The software to change the settings took a couple of minutes to install, but gave no problems.

The feel of the mouse is excellent. The grip on it almost feels like it 'sticks' it to your hand. The scroll wheel has a firm feel to it. If you use this in a game (to change weapons etc), there would be no chance of over-running your choice.

The PTFE sliders on the bottom of the mouse makes this glide easier than a slippery thing on a slippery slope. The response of the mouse is better than any other mouse I've tried.

Just under the scroll wheel, there is a + and - button. These change the speed of the pointer at a click. You can have it moving superfast for quick movements in a game, or superslow for precision (e.g. if you are using a sniper function in a game). There are three speeds by default (middle speed is perfect for general use), you can increase this to five speeds using the mouse control panel.

The mouse comes with a 'weight pack'. You can add these to a tray in the bottom of the mouse till you get the best feel for you. I tried the mouse with no weights, and with about 20 grams added. This made a big difference to the feel of the mouse, but I reckon it would take a bit of playing around with these till you get the best weight for yourself.

My overall score 9½/10. The missing ½ is only because of the fiddling around with the weights till you get the right feel. Everything else was perfect from the outset. This is a top quality mouse for gamers!

All you have to do is get a mouse mat that wont allow clogging
or what about a piece of toughened glass on suckers as a mat just a thought.
