Right... got a plan in place!
My DF Date for Halifax Credit Card is TODAY woop!
My DF Date for MINT Credit Card is 24/02/2009
My DF Date for MBNA Credit Card is 24/04/2009
My DF Date for Mum is 24/06/2009
And the DF Date for the Loan is 24/01/2009
I hope to be in the same possition as I was in when i took out the mortgage or better. When we took out the mortgage i was earning £18500 OH was earning £18k. Now im on a basic of £15.5k but is going up to £17.5k in april hopefully and my OH's is £12,250 again going up to £13.5k in jan defo. at the time of taking out the mortgage we had no money on credit cards but had a loan of £15,200.
If my sales at work - which are very realisic- go to plan - gonna work my socks off to get there I tell you now, i will be on a basic of £17.5k, and have an annual commision of £22,100 yay! Taking my income up to £39,600l. As i said very realistic but im going to have to work my socks off to do it. And at the end of the day it is worth it.
Good news as well is that i had a look on NatWest's website for the mortgage rates at the moment and they are offering fixed rate mortgages for people with 0 deposit (that are changing rate) at 4.94% for 5 years with no arrangement fee. But if they say no due to the negative equity the SVR is now 4.4%, yes I know that things will change in the next 20 months BUT there is a glimmer of hope, and if things stay at a similar rate then we will actually save money on our mortgage lol! Plus have a bit of extra cash in our pockets of £294.89 per month for not having the loans and credit cards, on top of any extra income earned.
I know it is going to be tough, but im willing to push so that i can maximise my job and take the debt bull by the horns! I will do this I am detirmined and end of January next year I can sit back and say YES! I have done it, I can then take a well earned holiday abroad, treat myself to a new wardrobe - lesson has been learned though, don't do it if you havent got the money lol! I can't wait, and next year will soon fly by, this year did lol! Hehe...i am very excited and cannot wait to be debt free! YIPPIEE!!!
I am already sooo pleased that I have another credit card gone, which is great..... its like a weight off my shoulders, but i'm just itching to get the rest paid off...
I have now set myself milestones along the year and I hope to stick to them or beat them.
Good news is though that i got a months worth of shopping for £67 haha... just a few extra bits to pick up now, potatos eggs and crisps, and milk bread and ham for the rest of the month. I should expect that I will get my £85 mark for this month easily! I have done well and can enjoy myself this xmas and new year in the knowledge that I have taken a step in the right direction! YAY! GO ME!
