photo,s onto mobile phone

trying to put some pictures i took myself onto my mobile phone from pc,got the memory card in the pc,but when i try to move files over it says there write protected/ surely if there my own pics and i didnt protect them this isnt right? how do i get round this?

    Is there a write protection switch on the card?

    It's most likely because the destination is write-protected. Some memory cards have a (very small) write protect tab on one edge.

    If not that, it's likely that the folder on the card that you're trying to copy to is read-only. If you view the card in My Computer, right-click the destination folder, choose Properties and see if the read-only box is ticked. If so, untick it and you're sorted.
