scotish power standing charge or not

when i signed up to scottish power fixed 2009 it was no standing charge on closer examination of my bill i have been charged the standing charge .
my question is am i paying more this way and should i phone them to rectify?

    For your electricity it is unlikely to make much difference. For gas, as you are just leaving a summer period, it may. (That is, if you are using gas heating.)

    Electricity tier 1 band is 225 kWh per quarter. Gas tier 1 is 1143 kWh. If quarterly useage is higher than these, difference will be miniscule. If either useage was lower, then you have paid extra.

    In any case, you should phone to change. (Can't think of a reason to not choose a NSC option - last time I checked there was no difference in Scottish Power's prices (or it was something like 9p or 10p per quarter. Please double-check, of course, the current tariffs for your own region.))
