Hi Everyone. Happy New year. I am new tt the forum but would like to be included in this challenge as a first venture into MSEing! Some of the other challenges are a bit daunting for a beginner.
    Good Luck everyone.

  • GAH! I bought lots of stuff in Woolies just before the New Year.... sold a 25p album on eBay today for £6... if only I'd bought it a few days later! Gonna have to go to another closing down sale and see what I can get that's ebayable.

After one day I have turned my £10 into £16.30. Not bad 63% profit! Made the profit through the scratch cards on the Butlins site. Would have been more but decided to play a few for fun..Oops! Shame if I had registered a few days ago i could have received a free Butlins Teddy Bear which I could have sold. Never mind. Need to start looking at other ways to increase the profit now, as the percentage gain is obviously going to drop as the profit mounts up. If anyone comes up with anything not already on this thread, please post it with your profit so far so we can all benefit.

    Morning all.
I started Jan 01st, but am only running til April 01st as anything I make is for our wedding in April :)

Today I popped to Woolies but they had nothing worthwhile to start me off. I popped to Argos to get the 2 wii games for £9.80 but they wouldn't honour it :(
So still had no idea how to get off the starting blocks when I saw a cancer charity stall doing a tombola 5 tickets for £1, I didn't have the right money so I gave £1.10 and I won a childrens bedside lamp! Not sure if I will get anything for it but will stick it on Ebay to start me off. Fingers crossed!!

I have quite a bit of stuff that I've bought in the sales with the sole purpose of selling on eBay. If you see a good bargain, and have time to check how much previous eBay listings for that item have sold for, you can get an idea of whether or not it's worth investing in. Do a Google search for "ebay fees calculator" too, to work out how much the greedy gits will be taking from us.
