Our Woolies didn't have too many bargains other than clothes, most things only had 10 - 20% off. Which is ok is good but not worth spending 2 hours in a queue to be served

thanks guys looks like there will be enough of us to start on the 1 st jan!!

Yuo can go what you like with the £10 and any extra you make you can split is save it spend it etc!

Our next usually has a fab sale on boxing day so that might help me

  • sounds good. the way i usually do it is start with the £10 or whatever stake, make the money back plus more. The £10 is banked out the way and you go forward with the extra money you have made, so even if you lose money in the long run you are no worse off.

  • well if you had £10 and spent it on craft materials/equipment and made products that could sell for £20, maybe something simple to tart like cards. then invest the money again, and make something more involved that will generate more profit, and so on.
£5000 debt cleared thanks to MSE advice :money:

I would split the extras up into as many different things as I can and make money that way.

Yes please count me in. For the first time in over forty years I am in funds this Christmas. All presents got, food in (apart from a few fresh bits) and a tenner to call my own.

Best wishes to all for Christmas and many thanks for all the advice and help over the last year

  • Go on then, I will join another challenge. Like the idea. Its a bit like that book "one red paperclip" where the guy traded a paperclip for things better until he eventually got a house.
Count me in from Jan 1st too, just need thinking cap on now.
