What do OSers wash their hands with?

  • Something antibacterial, whatever's on offer...

v tempted by the lush idea though, may have to re-evaluate since it's greener :)
  • Own brand soap but antibacterial when I've cleaned out the cat's litter tray.
  • Don't forget that antibac soap needs to be left on your hands for at least 2 mins for it to work, if you don't leave it on for that amount of time you may as well buy ordinary soap ;)

Not a true OSer but I try. I have weird skin that gets a rash or dries out and cracks if I use pretty much anything! Can be a pain in public toilets!

I mainly use lush soap (all my toiletries are lush cos of aforementioned weird skin and I find a little goes a long way so doesn't work out as expensive as it seems.) However at the minute I have ecover washing up liquid in my soap dispenser as it was on offer a big bottle for 50p which is def a bargain so I bought 5 bottles and it's fine for my skin.

question to the true old stylers...where do you get your pump dispensers from? Bought a liquid pump thingy from Pampered Chef party but it was £7 or £8!!! Yes it will save me money anyway as it's 1 part soap to 9parts water so liquid soap will last forever, but can I get these cheaper somewhere else??

Carex on a 2 for 1 from Tesco, about 1/8 of it tipped into an empty 'Method' bottle from Tesco that dispenses foam, then topped up with water.

Makes a little go a long way, never sick or have tummy bugs etc. so it obviously works.
That's a really good idea. I've often seen those kind of foam dispensers in hotel loos and thought they must be pretty money-saving. I must look out for one of those bottles in Tesco. Can you give me an example of something which is sold in a 'Method' bottle so I know what I'm looking for?

Where's that from,. it looks good?

    I get it from here:

Expensive, but a little goes a long way as it's very concentrated. I usually get another £15 worth of goodies to get free delivery although I think the £3 delivery charge is still quite reasonable for an item which weighs around 4kg!

I bought 2 nice dispensers from Marks and Spencers about two and a half years ago - only £2 each but I am almost certain they were on sale. They are similar to these (but mine are a different colour) which are £5 (or £4 if they have another 20% off day) - maybe wait for the M&S Sale which usually starts around boxing day I think?

  • i have very dry hands because of eczema as a kid. I have tried all sorts of soap bars and liquids to find some that will moisturise not dry my hands out. I use natural cold processed soap which has a brilliant lather without all the chemical nasties. There are loads of suppliers out there but I use Celtic Herbal soap, lots of varieties to chose long lasting from but not cheap (they have got a 30% off offer on at the moment though). Natural Leigh is also gorgeous.
