What do OSers wash their hands with?

This is an area where it could be pennies or pounds spent on handwashing. I used to buy branded handwash eg dove, palmolive whatever was on offer then I downshifted to supermarket own brand now it is either value handwash or soap. Dove handwash would feel like a luxury now:rotfl:

What is your handwashing story? :p

Generally whatever brand is on 2 for 1 in either the supermarket or Wilkos! Every now and again I have Molton Brown stuff, which is given to me by my MIL for Christmas/birthday! Maybe I'll have a look at downshifting next time.

At the moment I've got Tesco Value bubble bath about 38p a litre in my handwash bottle. It's luminous blue but hey! :D

ASDA moisturising bubble bath. The white one at 58p a litre. I refill the pump action dispensers (saved from my pre-MSE days) using a small plastic funnel. I've been doing this for years now after it was mentioned on this forum :D
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D
  • I said other. I'm not a true Old-Styler, wish I was though. I use as few chemicals as possible, both for cleaning me and the house. So I use Lush (soap for hands) as they have lots of natural ingredients and very few artificial ones. Soap is also better for the environment because it has no packaging.
  • Ordinary soap and water .I have a liquid wash sitting on my washand basin in the bathroom that I was given ages ago but I forget to use it .
usually I like wrights coal tar or pears which ever is the cheapest. My DD's buy me lots of soaps and shower gel stuff at Christmas and I use that up duiring the year .I did find earlier this year when I had to use a fragrance-free shower stuff after my op.that tesco's was very good and half the price of the others .

I tend to buy the branded stuff, radox mainly but only when it's on 2 for 1, recently i got the refill bags on 2 for 1 which was very reasonable and i'll look out for the same again. I did try filling an old dispenser with bubble bath but DH moaned about it...though I bet he wouldn't have if I hadn't told him what it was!!

Carex on a 2 for 1 from Tesco, about 1/8 of it tipped into an empty 'Method' bottle from Tesco that dispenses foam, then topped up with water.

Makes a little go a long way, never sick or have tummy bugs etc. so it obviously works.
