What's the best sports club/treasurers account?

At our recent AGM, it became clear in the financial report that our interest accrued was £6 when we had as much as £123,000 going through the account.
Treasurers accounts are generally quite poor at getting interest. Anyone run a club with a good interest rate on it's funds?

I used to be the treasurer for the local toddler group and we had our bank account with the bank of scotland. Although I dont know exactly are rate of interest we used to have roughly £600 in it each month and used to get roughly £10 back in interest each month. I guess its just a case of having a look around all the local banks and finding out which one suits your group the best.0
