I bought one of these just the basic model from ebay (it was really cheap £30 ) to go geocacheing it came with a cable to download the cache sites stright to the unit but hasn't any instructions - I've managed to use it just for this with no problems at all but don't know how to enter coordinates in lat and long which you need to do when solving puzzles - can anyone assit?

Your eTrex has probably just been configured to use OSGB or some similar grid reference system. It's easy to change back to Lat and Long in the Settings menu.
