ISA / Shares question

Hi Cheerfulcat, Thanks so much for that, that is something I can look into in the new tax year, it certainly doesnt sound worth selling and re-buying!.
Ive had the shares for more than 10 years, but the company has now been brought out by another company in Germany, we were given a series of options by the new company, I chose to sell as many as I could before paying capital gains tax, took an amount of loan notes at the point of merger that I intend to sell in April, which will use up my allowance for the next tax year.
So it sounds as if I may stay as I am and probably sell some of the remaining shares in two tax years time!!! I am sure that now they are non UK shares I will have no end of tax complications in my tax returns!!!!0
