FREE 500 texts for Virgin mobile users

This was posted yesterday but mysteriously disappeared, maybe something to do with the link?

This link takes you to the Virgin web page so there should not be a problem.

It is 500 free texts for texting Virgin,(details on the page),using a Virgin sim, the text will cost 3p.

I have done it with 3 different Virgin sims, and received reply messages informing me that the texts will be added on 19th December, the offer ends tomorrow 14th December, it is from the HDUK forum.

Texts will be valid for 1 month.

Customers who text ‘FREE’ to the number indicated by 14th December 2008 will receive a bundle of 500 texts for free. The bundle of free texts will be credited on the 19th December 2008. This offer is only applicable to the mobile number or account holder it was communicated to and the credit is not transferable or refundable. The texts included within the bundle are only valid for use within the UK to UK mobiles and landlines. The bundle will be valid for one month. Any unused texts will not roll over to the following month and will be lost. One 500 free text bundle per number offer is communicated to.

If so its a pity....500 texts would have come in handy.

Well as I said, I have received the free texts to 3 different Virgin numbers, the part you have highlighted may just mean the number they communicate the free texts to!

I replied on yesterdays thread but I'll put this on again.

I've had an offer like this in the past, an email making an offer for one of the virgin numbers I've got. I've got a few as the children's are registered in my name too. We all sent the text to get the free texts, we all got a message confirming we'd get the free texts but only one phone got them and that was the number mentioned in the email.

Don't assume that you will get them just because you've had the confirmation message back. You might, you might not. I've given it a try myself but won't be disappointed it @ve spent 3p and got nothing for it.

I asked Virgin how much the text offer costs and it's 12p (not 3p).

i got this too but the number they want me to use has no credit on it so i wuold have to top up with the minimum of £5

If you did not get sent the offer in the first place place by Virgin Mobile, dont hold your breath about getting the texts, even though they say they will be applied to your account.

Just out of curiosity why do you think that the free messages might not be applied to our mobiles? Have you experienced a similar offer and not received it before?
