New boiler needs re-pressurising already

Had a new boiler a few months back and it stopped working a few days ago giving a fault number that the boiler needed to be re-pressurised. Plumber took a few minutes to do this by adjusting a couple of screws, with his back to me so never saw where he was fiddling around. He went on to say even if I bleed the rads it may need this adjustment again.

So I asked him if I could do this if the fault came on again whilst he said yes he had to dash off and hadn't time to show me how.

Anyone know how?

It is a Vaillant ecotec wall hung boiler.

It will be explained in your boiler instruction manual.

There must be a filler loop underneath the boiler, it's a small flexible pipe that's a silver colour. Turn on the valve and wait til the pressure gauge says 1bar, this should do it....

To bring up the pressure reading press the - button and the pressure will display for about 10 seconds. Only repressurise when the boiler is cold and put it up to 1 bar. Very common that you will have to keep re-pressurising for a few months with a new system

Thanks for all help and I had better search for manual. I suspect plumber never left it but I will find PDF on web or chase plumber up.

What about on the boiler itself - there will be some info on that about the make, surely?
